Merrimack County Conservation District invites you to a Soil Field Day
A basic soil properties workshop

Tuesday, October 17th, 2017, 9 am – 4 pm

Begins at the Riverhill Grange, 32 Horse Hill Road, Concord and Concludes at Carter Hill Orchard, 73 Carter Hill Road, Concord

Cost: $35 (Please bring your own lunch.)

This field day is geared towards: teachers, planning boards, code enforcement officers, conservation commissions, septic designers and installers, foresters, and any interested citizens.

Soil profiles to expect: Dense basal till (hardpan) Basal melt out till (sandy pan) Outwash (sands)

Confirmed Speaker: Retired USDA NRCS Soil Scientist Joe Homer

CEU’s: NHDES Subsurface Bureau – 6 credit hours, EnviroCert – 6 credit hours (only if you have not previously taken this course)
